Vancouver, British Columbia

Oron Frenkel completed his residency in emergency medicine followed by a fellowship in point-of-care ultrasound at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California. He moved to Vancouver in 2015 to escape the gun violence, work under a single payer system, and help bring point-of-care ultrasound to the rural West. He is now the Director of the PoCUS program for the emergency department at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, teaches as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia, and helps run a PoCUS fellowship and elective for UBC. He loves working towards creative solutions on spreading ultrasound use and expertise in a safe and effective fashion.
